Heavy D was finally laid to rest yesterday in a star studded private funeral in his mone town of Mount Vernon, NY. Tons of celebs, including Will Smith, Jay Z, Diddy, and Usher were in attendance. And even President Obama, a fan of Heavy D, sent a letter which was read during the eulogy.
As sad as this is . . . it's GREAT to see everyone come out and support. Hopefully, those same people will help to provide for Heavy's daughter Xea. The family has been taking up a collection, to help secure her future.
